About the Chef

The one-time Charlottesville Entrepreneur/Executive Chef of Northern Exposure is back!

Chef Tony is native of Palermo, Sicily. As a native son of Italy, Tony started cooking at a very young age learning the secrets of Italian Cuisine from his mother. His passion for food lead him to take his first job as an Executive Chef in New York City which later lead to Tony opening his very own restaurant in Sarasota, Florida. Wanting to be closer to his family, Chef Tony then settled down in Charlottesville, Virginia where has lived for past 17 years.

His specialties include homemade Italian sausage lasagne, fettucini alfredo with chicken or shrimp, linguini putanesca, penne saporito con piselli, linguini mama mia, and linguini pescatore to name just a few.

Under Bonanno’s leadership, the inn has transitioned to The Bonanno’s Madison Inn Restaurant, but its new owner plans to keep much of the current menu as well as add traditional Italian and Continental cuisine.
